2. Paint Party with Paint Party Events
Paint Parties are a super fun activity for any type of event. Enjoy up to 1.5 hours of interactive, skill-boosting, confidence-building fun. They are team building, confidence boosting and push you to try something outside of the box! So here is how it works 🙂 You pre-select a painting in advance from their website or they can make one for you. They arrive up to one hour prior to your event to set up. They bring everything except tables, chairs and table up covers. The events last about 1.5 hours long. The costs include all supplies, canvases, easels, paints, brushes and up to 1.5 hours of paint party. All they ask is that you provide tables, chairs and table covers. You don’t need any experience to do this activity, they promise!

3. Desserts Workshop by Naomi Reiss Custom Cakes
Workshop Options: Royal Icing Cookie Decorating, Cupcake Decorating, Chocolate Making, and Molecular Desserts. Each workshop is unique and can be done according to a specific theme.
Cookie Decorating involves decorating sugar cookies with Royal Icing, learning techniques such as piping, flooding, stenciling, etc.
Cupcake decorating involves learning piping techniques to frost cupcakes, sprinkle mixing, and making custom themed gumpaste cupcake toppers.
Chocolate making involves learning to temper chocolate, create molded and rolled truffles, and produce flavored ganaches and assorted fillings.

4. Yoga & Writing with Rena
If you’ve ever taken a Yoga class before, you’re familiar with the open-hearted feeling often brought on by releasing stuck energy & giving the mind time to unwind. Tap into that energy and use it to create community and take active steps towards living the life of your dreams! Using Yoga & Writing, you will get to know yourself and each other in entirely new ways!
Upon arrival, the mood is set to feel safe, uplifting, and truly magical. First, you will practice a gentle, 45-60 minute Yoga sequence. This Yoga sequence gives you all the benefits of any Yoga practice (lubricates joints, strengthens muscles, increases blood flow, and more) PLUS it brings you to that calm, aware, open-hearted state which carries you right into the writing portion. The writing portion consists of 4 questions that are designed for you to think introspectively about yourself and areas of your life that can be improved. 5. Calligraphy, Lettering & Stationery Workshop with Malka Klein
Choose between two workshops:
1. Intro to Hebrew calligraphy
2. Intro to Modern English calligraphy
These workshops are for beginners where you learn letter forms in a particular signature style of hers with a chosen calligraphic tool and review general tips of the calligraphy trade.
Alternatively, she offers a stationery workshop on its own where you find inspiration in beloved materials and take from her stash of beautiful & eclectic paper products and fabrics to create unique cards. No two end up the same.

6. Mosaics by Miriam
Create unique and stunning artwork to display indoors or outdoors.
Options include custom designed group projects and individual project. Can be a present for the couple for their new home with their name for the door or with a wedding logo.
Large projects can be mounted on cement board and grouted.
Grouted projects can be picked up in 5 days after the workshop (rush jobs available if needed).
Mosaics done on mesh can be taken home same-day and grouted by the artists.

7. Terrarium Workshop at Hachamama Shel Elizabeth
The terrarium workshop at Hachamama Shel Elizabeth is a wonderful opportunity to enter the calm and quiet of nature and enjoy special time with the people you love. This is a fun and creative workshop for friends to come together to laugh and celebrate this special occasion.
The workshop begins with time for drinks and tea made with fresh nana and lemon grass leaves from the garden. The group can sit by the fishpond or wander through the therapy garden to enjoy the first few minutes of calm and quiet.
The first part of the workshop is made up of games that connect to the bride and make her feel special and loved. This is the time for everyone to sit back and laugh together while unwinding from all the preparations for the wedding.
Once you finish the games, you will head into the art room to start your art and nature project. Each person is given a glass bowl or container in which they will create their own succulent terrarium. Everyone starts by filling up their bowls with gravel and special soil. They can then choose from the wide selection of plants set out on the deck. After that is done, they can design their terrarium with the plants, pebbles and stones and the myriad of art supplies provided. At that time the group can decide whether they want to have a theme for the terrariums such as “married life” or “the wedding” and then have a contest at the end for the best terrarium. For the laid-back crowd, everyone just has fun designing and making their own terrarium.
The workshop takes place on communal tables which gives everyone a chance to chat and help each other with ideas and materials. At the end of the workshop each member leaves with a beautiful terrarium full of fond memories of the time spent together.

8. Hadara’s Clay Studio Workshop
Clay workshops are a great activity for everyone, and an especially fun idea for a bridal shower or sheva brachot activity! There are endless ideas of things to make from start to finish using clay, in the studio. They start you off with a quick demo of how to use the clay in ways that each person can adapt to their own age/level, and give some ideas of things to create (dishes, mugs, door signs, jewelery, mezuzot, dragons and more…!!) then you get started right away- making your pieces from clay and painting them too! You can decide what to make once you get here, or think up a theme that everyone can do (such as each making part of a gift set etc.)

At our 2 hour workshop, guests will make beautiful natural soaps. Each guest can choose the shape of the soap she would like to make, and pick colors and fragrances. 21. Shiatsu Workshop Sampler
This workshop is for women with no background in massage (other than enjoying getting a massage). Through hands-on experience you learn to do shiatsu massage for friends and family. In the three hour workshop you learn to massage the back when the person is lying down. You also learn to treat the friend’s hands and shoulders for a seated massage, to do anywhere. 24. “Experience Cuisine” Class with Rachel Hartman
Rachel makes well researched and tailored classes that are meant to foster a love of cuisine and togetherness with her lovely guests. Most people don’t understand what she means by “well researched” so let her explain using the picture below.
This dish below is chestnut gnocchi in brown butter and fried sage from Northern Italy. Her inspiration for this dish is from the real life love story told in a book called “The Shoemaker’s wife” in it the wife, Lorenza, is a recent immigrant to the US from Northern Italy, and she makes dishes like this both to remind her of her roots and to help endear herself to her husband and her various bosses as she makes her way in NYC. The couple who called her for this class got engaged in Northern Italy and were vegetarians…….so she immediately thought of this book and this dish.
The bottom line is this: Her classes aren’t just where she wants people to “learn how to cook” her classes are a place where she wants people to feel the real lives of the people who eat these dishes every day, so that when they make it again, they can think of the sweet winter air of the Swiss alps from whence it came, without actually having stepped foot there.

27. Pottery Painting at JClay Studio
Paint your own pottery! Each guest picks ready-made ceramic pieces (dishes, vases, nicknacks…) paints them, and then leaves them for glazing and firing. The glazing and firing process can take up to a week from the time the pottery was painted. Guests pick up the pieces when they are finished.
